Japanese arts is program's focus

TRAVERSE CITY -- Yuri Matsunaga will present two programs in connection with the Jump to Japan exhibit from 10 a.m. until noon today and Saturday in the Great Lakes Children's Museum Annex at the Con Foster Building in Clinch Park. Matsunaga will teach children and adults how to create origami figures, eat with chopsticks and demonstrate the art of Japanese calligraphy.

The programs are free with paid admission of $4 for ages two and older. The traveling exhibition Jump to Japan runs through Labor Day and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
