Reader IDs mother on Cherry Festival float

Reader Chris Roush responded to a request for information on the Traverse Area Historical Society archive photo that appeared in the Dec. 16 Community section. The photograph was of several young ladies on a National Cherry Festival parade float.

Roush writes that her mother, Dorothy Jean (Broad) Roush, is the young lady fourth from the left on the float. Roush said her mother was 17 years old when this photo was taken in 1960.
