Elk Rapids student earns Eagle Scout

William Wolfington V, of Elk Rapids, received the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Award on Dec. 14. Wolfington, son of Bill and Laura Wolfington, is a member of Troop 46, sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids.

Wolfington has earned the Arrow of Light, World Conservation Award, Religious Emblem of Faith, was a senior patrol leader and den chief.

His Eagle Scout project was to build four picnic tables for the Milton Township Park.

Wolfington is a student at Elk Rapids High School and has been a member of the student council, tennis team, bowling team and zero hour jazz band.
