Saturday afternoon Peninsula Township residents and officials celebrated the designation of M-37, the 18-mile road that spans the length of Old Mission Peninsula, as a Scenic Heritage Route. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was preceded by a program on the history of the effort to achieve the designation and an outline of the corridor management plan.
