School stages play for Pavilions residents

Traverse City Christian students perform 'Pride and Prejudice'

The Traverse City Christian Schools Senior High Theatre students recently presented a production of "Pride and Prejudice" for the residents at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Directed by Mark Rozeboom and assisted by Laura Rozeboom, the stage production was a dramatization from Jane Austen's novel by Jane Kendall. The Traverse City Christian Students had performed the production previously on stage at the TCCS High School Gym for the general public.

The theatre performance at the Pavilions is one of many community outreach initiatives the students of Traverse City Christian Schools are involved in which include assisting students in area elementary schools with Spanish and drama classes and Chapel services.

Traverse City Christian Schools also hosted the Safe Harbor homeless participants at the school for a week, held blood drives, and the entire Middle and Senior High classes went to Louisiana this year to assist in ongoing disaster relief efforts from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Traverse City Christian Schools is Traverse City's first and only preschool through Grade 12 inter-denominational school. In addition to its students providing outreach services in the community, Traverse City Christian Schools provides more than $150,000 in student scholarships annually to those families and students desiring to access Christian education.
