VanDrie Earns Eagle Scout rank

Eric VanDrie, son of Sharon and Kevin VanDrie, is a senior at Traverse City Christian School. He is a member of Troop 105 sponsored by the United Methodist Church in Lake Ann.

VanDrie has been awarded the Arrow of Light, Order of the Arrow Brotherhood, the 50-miler award and World Conservation Award. He is a BSA lifeguard and has served as senior patrol leader, junior assistant scoutmaster, patrol leader and troop scribe.

He attended the National Order of the Arrow Conference at Michigan State University and Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and is a member of his school's varsity soccer and track teams.

He organized the construction of two berms at the entrance of the Veterans' Memorial in Almira Township Park in Lake Ann for his Eagle Scout project.
