TC West All-Stars advance to quarter final

The TC West Junior Division All-Star baseball team, ages 13-14, hit their way to a 11-0 pool-play win over Charlevoix. Matt Beem had a two-RBI home run. Combined pitching of Joey Caraccio, Donny Cizek, Nick Tooley and Collin Bush stopped Charlevoix. Strong defensive play by Mitch Gamlin, Jason Kloosterman, Joe Kniss and catcher Ryan Ellsworth contributed to the win.

The All-Stars continued their winning ways with a 8-1 win over East Jordan with Joey Caraccio pitching a shutout with one earned run. Strong defensive play by Will Reed, Matt Beem, Joe Kniss combined with catcher Ryan Ellsworth's three throw-outs at second stopped East Jordan. Offensively, hitting by Donny Cizek, Nick Tooley, Collin Buxch, Beem and others sealed the victory.
